I really like your shots, Frank, in particular Polly and the Redwoods (band name?) The detail in Polly's feathers is very good and the colors as well. In the Redwoods, I see that you've gotten good detail in the facing tree trunks. The light of course is awesome. I've read that there is an ecosystem existing up there in the canopy. People climb up to study it.

Thank you Katy, Jiro, and George! 'Polly and the Redwoods'? Nice catch. I like the sound of it!
Now I have a De-Lem-Na. I'm guessing that most folks here have seen much of my labors on another forum. Should any of those images for which I've had questions but didn't receive a useable response be re-posted here? Or just move on to posting new questions?

Great collection, Frankie, and as Frank says, nice variety. I like seeing them in the larger size, so thank you for that, too.

frankie - #s 2, 3, & 5. I read somewhere that turkey vultures evolved bald heads in order to avoid messy feathers

Thanks guys! George, that is my understanding as well as to why all vultures have no feathers on their heads. eewww! I'd be more than happy to post my 5 favorite butterfly shots, but I don't want to overstep or make assumptions on here. I can always create another thread elsewhere if that would be better - moderators, I wait for your sage advice frankie
