Really stunning stuff Rob. My preferences in order would be chaos 5, then 4 then 3. I guess Freud could probably work out the state of ones mind by which image is preferred? Many happy returns for your birthday too. a 100mm macro too, whats that about 5 years winter fuel payments They say that you are only really old when you need viagra just to stop weeing on your shoes ;D

... and I am thinking they would look great and fit right in on a few of my customers walls. Well, we could always arrange it that your customers could also be my customers?

You can bet I will mention your name and steer them your direction when I come across people with such elevated taste. =} Lets be clear....I am speaking of my window cleaning customers. It is difficult enough to get them to view my images. lol

Great news about the macro lens. It gets excellent reviews and certainly a lens I would like to have in my toy box. When you are thinking of trading it in for that inevitable tartan shopping trolley and that all but inevitable age related need to purchase every item in the Bettaware catalogue...give me a shout for first refusal on the 100mm It is very good! One of the reasons I wanted it is for the waterproofing. I've always wondered just how waterproof L lenses are (my 24-106 has only been in a light shower) so I found this video I saw recently very amusing. Don't try this at home! (skip forward to 2:00mins)

They say that you are only really old when you need viagra just to stop weeing on your shoes ;D So that explains all those emails I keep getting in my spam queue - from female sales ladies in Hong Kong called 'Joy' who talk about 'firm growth potential'. I thought they were flogging finance products I've led a sheltered life.

Do you user filters, PP, or both? I use filters a lot outdoors. I have some Cokin Pro ND grad filters, 2 polarising filters, and a BW 10-stop filter for long exposures. I’d always heard that Cokin ND filters have a mauve colour cast. Have you found that with the Pro ones? And, if so, is it easily removable in PP? I’d be grateful if you’d write a brief review of it later. I have ‘The Speedliter’s Handbook’ and am wondering if the Peterson book might be better. I have a 270, 430 and 580, which I unwisely bought long before I discovered my aversion to flash photography But I’m sure I’ll find a use for them one day I hadn’t forgotten, I can assure you. Just trying to preserve your privacy by not giving away your travel plans. After all, details of your exact location at any one point could probably fetch quite a good price in certain quarters ;D It’s bloomin’ uncomfortable weather today. So hot and sunny. I’ll have none of it. Have you taken off for your holidays yet? Happy 60 and 3/360th birthday! ;D In my books, you've only just reached the most interesting age for a man I'm intending to lay The Wirefox down like a good wine and watch him mature over the years to come That’s my lens you’ve got there, by the way. You're going to love it. I’ve never found better But the non-L version, as I'm happy to use a shower cap and use the money saved on other things Wex Photographic are my favourite online vendors too, apart from Amazon on a good day. 20% VAT off all stated prices, and free shipping too You haven’t posted anything for a couple of days. Have you been doing anything interesting with the macro lens, perchance?

Very good, Rob, but did he *really* mention "golden showers" at around 2.40? Surely not! And finer, crisper details with the L? I'll challenge you on that one, just for fun And I really do think that I can do without the 'rounder balls'. Honestly, I'm just not that fussy ;D

Cheeky.....Just because I tire you out with my constant youthful appetite. And I cant see how a bus pass and a leatherette shopping bag will make me more attractive. The good news is you are going to lay me down over the years too come - I can certainly live that

And I cant see how a bus pass and a leatherette shopping bag will make me more attractive. I think you got that one wrong. What you meant to say was "I cant see how a bus pass and a leatherette bus pass holder will make me more attractive." But your apologies (by proxy) are accepted.

And finer, crisper details with the L? I'll challenge you on that one, just for fun Can't tell you, I just managed to get mine from the white box into the soft touchy-feely leatherette pouch (even L lenses need an orgasm at times). I haven't actually attached it to the Kodak Instamatic yet. Can anyone advise on that??? After all, this is a photography forum.

By your use of the past tense of the verb 'to have', I'm assuming that you were obliged to look it up? I know the gentle euphemism more generally as 'golden rain', but if you truly did not know of it, then it really is testament to the simple, rustic, sheltered life that you've often claimed to lead
