I am wearing my pedantic trousers Any visual image of what those look like? Anyone? They are the only trousers Seri allows me to wear and then only for popping down to the corner shop to stock up on high energy supplements. If you really must know they are black leather chaps and the locals call me 'Old Drafty Pants' Seri sent all my undies to Oxfam with a stern "You won't be needing those here my boy" I am going to get letters to the Times about this...I just know it Sent from my GT-I9100 using proboards

What a callous bunch of bums on this forum... (Well that was unexpected. Hey, I may have misjudged this guy.) (Could it be that he in fact sees me? Could he be--) (A 32-bit jerk, he is.) (But he does seem to understand me...) (Hmmm, looks high maintenance.) (Uh oh, signs of BO.) (Good taste, but his two + my two = over $60 a day!!!) (That does it.) (Those I can get from my dog, thank you very much.) (And lucky for me that you do.) May I say, Rob, that you might as well drop the pretense of mourning and get the pink, I mean the red.

My heartfelt sympathies go out across the ocean to you, Rob. My heartfelt thanks for that Mary. And may I say (it's funny how these things spill out under grief) I've always thought you looked so much like that nice American actress, Miss Moore. I'm giving my age away now. It must be the same first name, and that cute face.... I don't suppose there's any chance that you are... no, that's silly. Grief talking. I would so like to have a witty response. But...I am sitting in the car after spending the last two days with my 86 year old Gran. You know how some old people get sweeter with age? Not my Gran. she even put poor Lucy on edge. And the house was so hot...you know, hot enough to have sweat running down your legs and anywhere your skin touched. Then, just before we were going to leave... A tornado comes through. That was crazy to see. I'll keep thinking and hopefully will be able to think clearly... Or at least sweat free.

I would so like to have a witty response. I think they call it esprit d'escalier (e-SPREE des-kal-i-YE) You know how some old people get sweeter with age? No. they don't at all. They get very grumpy. The dig you in the ribs with their elbows in a queue. They complain about everything and everyone. Where did you get the idea they get sweeter? hot enough to have sweat running down your legs... Oh, Mary, you do bring a certain je ne sais quoi to this forum.

Oh, Mary, you do bring a certain je ne sais quoi to this forum. I guess, I 'hope' I'll be a sweet little old lady. You know, I love my Gran. And, I know she has had a hard life...my Daddy Ted was in the Korean War and WWII...not an easy time. Then my Aunt Teddy (I was named after her) died in a car accident the May before I was born, when she was just barely 20. Then my uncle died from Leukemia 4 years later...at the age of 20. She's lived in that time frame since. There is no joy for her in her family that is left. It is sad. She lives to visit the cemetery and relive horrid memories...and wants everyone else to be miserable with her. On the other hand... her sister (she's had 7 siblings) is 'that' sweet old lady. Always chewing bubble gum, flips people off, has a toe ring and just has fun in life. She had a hard life as well, but handled it much differently. "je ne sais quoi" is this a bad thing or a good thing?

Then my Aunt Teddy (I was named after her) Soooo, do we call you: Mary, Edward, Eddy, Ed, Teddy, Ted, Edwina, or shall we just call you for dinner?

What's for dinner? Chicken something-or-other, using left overs from last night. I can freight it by Passenger Pigeon, if you like? Mary...most people call me Mary. Sahil calls me Lucy...that's a whole different story. I know - it always makes me giggle...
