You are right Antonio, we have been quiet... at the risk of boring you, I have been having some trouble with my shoulder....frozen apparently, so theyblew it up with a big needle full of saline & cortizone to try and teach it the error of it's ways & get it back to full range of movement. To add insult to injury, the other staff member who has an allotment of time as a photographer at school, does not wish to continue next year. The rumour has it that the whole arrangement will be looked at .. So I am a sad sack feeling sorry for myself, but I have come out of my blue funk enough to shoot a friend's son before his middle school formal So when I edit those, I will share a couple & jump in to the other threads as much as I can as well, as in the rich tapestry of life, my issues are but a tiny loose thread. Thus I will be PollyAnna-esque forthwith & be obscenely cheery & engage with my friends...... or at the very least tease & stir Rob mercilessly ;D .... so watch this space

... to shoot a friend's son... I hope you get better Cortizone will make you fat if you continue to take it. But Kay allow me to make you a suggestion: Don't use this "to shoot" verbe to say you take a picture of someone. It is so... sad... I am being too bold. How can I dare to make such a suggestion when myself I am not English native. But wouldn't it be nice to say ... funk enough to take pictures of a friend's sun or even ... funk enough to photograph a friend's sun It even sounds better Don't you think ? I was very bold today. I am sorry. I do not mean to offend. This is/was just a suggestion. I used to write and speak "shoot" myself but I don't any more. Thank you for your comment. I am, we are expecting your images.

Only a 24-70, you should at least go for the 70-200 f2.8 VR11 ;D or have you not really been that good. Barry, I already have 12-24mm f/4 and 70-200mm f/2.8 VR.II so I need something in between... And maybe AF-S 85mm f/1.4G as my 'side kick' lens..... So now you see that I'm a veryyyyyy good boy.... ;D

You are not too bold Antonio, you are correct, I was just too lazy & used the 'quick way' to say, rather than took some photographs of... But as you say there are many different & better ways to give the same meaning. I could say 'worked with' & in the context of posting here, then it is clear we are talking about photos... We all think you're a lovely chap & you couldn't offend anyone.. I will have time on the weekend to get the images ready

I have to put my hand up to being most horribly absent - take that as you may, brain included - but we have been working our wee buttlings off repairing and restoring one of our sources of income to make it productive once again. The words "tenant" "bad" "urine" and "repair" might give you an inkling. Then tomorrow, we hurtle off up the island to the great metropolis that is Auckland (they really do think they are the best) to attend a family wedding and associated bashes so will be off-line for a couple or four more days. Oh, the pain.....

Sorry for my absence for the last week or so. It is just hitting my silly season at work and as long as people are having Christmas parties and wanting to fight each other, it will be that way until January 1st.
Still it is all for a good cause.......the chancellor said that he was going to spend money on the Kettering bypass in his autumn statement. Woohoo just as the M1 finishes its marathon 7 year roadworks they will start on another leg of my commute.

I had little time over the last weeks too. I have much work to do for (and at) the university (I think you call it college?). Free time is very limited for me but christmas holidays is coming soon, so I will hopefully get more involved with critiquing and posting!

You're right Katy and it seems everyone is looking forward to a wee bit of time off at Christmas My redundant husband is happily filling in his days with some jobs around the house and wind surfing. He has also signed up as a volunteer at school, so is joining the sport dept on a 1/2 day bike ride today. He isn't going too well in the shopping dept though, Fashionista told him we needed more cat food..... So he comes home with 1 tin
