A really nice series, with lots of different tones. I really like the last one for its angles & curves in the composition, it's really interesting.

Thank you Kay, I was kinda worried about the last one since I could not get an angle that put the castle further away from the top of the bridge. Basically I need to get on the other side of the road that was behind me and get up onto a tall ladder!

I was going to suggest a tall ladder or up a tree...tonally, and compositionally, great images, but without that castle ruin in a more detailed view, I am afraid the overall impact is lost on me.

Chris, I think that's fair. I had a vision in my head when we drove past in the car the other day. When it came to the bit - the vision was not technically possible due to the location layout. The changeable light and howling gale was a bit of a downer as well. Live and learn ....

Image 1 - I like the curving river and the tree trucks really stand out well against the background cliff, but I think it would benefit from a crop of about a third off the top. I can't make up my mind about the branch appearing in bottom r/h corner.
I'm afraid but Image 2 and 3 look too flat, I mean shooting them head on, just does not work for me.
Image 4 - I like the bridge, good detail and sharp. But felt that the bridge cut the image in half, I'm sure that this one would work better as a landscape including more of the road either entering or exiting the bridge.

Thanks Barry. I think your right on all points. Just so you know - the bridge in #4 is now dis-used - I took #4 from the footpath on the side of the modern bridge that runs alongside.
