This was taken some time ago near the place we used to live. The location is Hill Head beach, looking west across the Solent toward the sun - which is trying to set but cannot be seen because of all the pollution. The chimney on the right is Calshot power station and the water in front of it is the mouth of Southampton Water. C&C please, and thanks for looking. 5D 19mm f11 @1/20sec ISO 100 - on a tripod.

Nick, I do like this image. However with it's title I would think that the clouds and water lines need lead you to the plant. Right now they all lead me deep into the left center of the image and then I must search to find the reason for the title.

I know it would be stretching the truth a bit but you could almost do with cloning the factory over to the left hand side.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, I was about to do just that to see...though I was more tempted to take the factory closer to middle right.

Great sky and I like the way the steam leads your eye in towards the sea, but as already mentioned I then have to look for the power station. I think the power station needs to be swapped with that post in the sea.

Thanks for the input chaps. I'm afraid I'm not quite up for moving Calshot power station to Lepe Beach or the middle of the Solent. ;D However, here is an alternative from a different day. This time you get to see Fawley oil refinery as a bonus - oh deep joy! Any better? #2 5D 21mm f11 @1/4sec ISO 100 on a tripod

The Power station is positioned better in this one, but the image as a whole is not as impressive as your first version.
