Just going back through some of my files before archiving and found a few that I had not edited. This is similar to my IR version but from the other side. Had the cloud not been so low then we would had seen all of the mountains in the background including Pen y Fan (highest mountain in South Wales). Nikon D700, f14, 1/320, ISO400, Nikon 70-200VR lens at 70mm

I would have to see them side by side Barry to be sure, but I think I like the flow in this one better, I like the placement of the hut.

I like this composition better as well. I like the low clouds.

I agree with the others, Barry. I like this view much better than the other one (although, that was lovely, too.) This one has loads of atmosphere and weather and has, somehow, the same panoramic feel but cozier (if that makes sense! ) I love the grasses and the light on them and the dark water and the hills are just gorgeous and I LOVE the detail in the trees on the distant shore! The ducks in the water are just bonus. Plus, there are so many triangles and lovely leading lines. sigh. Once again, I rather want to be there!

Barry, I like this one very much. To summaries why - the best I can think off - is that this has a luminous look and a lightness of touch that is absent from the first image, good as it is.
