Wonderfully composed...I wish his hand hadn't been moving, but even so, it tends to add a bit of "humanity" to the scene. Very few people sit in such a static environment all the time.
I would probably open up the shadow on his forehead and right cheek a bit. Seems to be a little too dark there.

As I was preparing to photograph - not much to do because I was only carrying the camera - and I asked if I could do it, he kind of posed "more" making that smile. Being in that position and a stone couching is not an easy task Perhaps you are right about the darkness but ... Thank you Chris for commenting

You call this "enigmatic" ... Curious concept He has no shoes, but he has rings, and clean manicured hands, his clothes are quite new, pressed and well looked after, he takes care of his appearance. Is he an actor, a dancer, a writer, a performer, a jewel thief, a gigalo, a haidresser, an artist.......I cannot tell, to me he is "enigmatic".

There were many people inside the temple. This was a monk or at least he was with monks that is...

Nice setting for this shot, with all of that stonework. Good sharpness and detail in face, I presumed you had a large aperture (due to lighting conditions and being hand held) as his hand and lower stonework does look soft. I also think the B&W conversion has worked well with this shot.

That vignette has worked really well on the edit Antonio. I find this a very interesting image. The man's hair looks almost too perfect, but it is real, right. His clothing on his top half doesn't seem to fit with the clothing on the bottom half, top being more tailored, but the bottom loose and not very neat. He looks very comfortable sat there in the temple, but looks like he owns it rather than lives there. I think I prefer these type of shots of yours Antonio because they tell much more of the story than just a head shot. Your head shots are superb by the way , but for me this has held my attention for a long time.

I understand what you mean Steve but scenes like these are not frequent and mainly if your subject is cooperating. He is not living in the temple but rather visting it. He was with somebody else also dressed like this. They were doing some kind of ritual. At that moment I also took this photograph of other men. They were indeed taking well care of their clothes, well, the upper part at least

That's nice, the way you have the oher man in the background.
Is that a window, or a mirror? And what is that between his eyebrows ;D

Just a mirror. Between his eyebrows that must be some kind of signal...
