It's a damn lovely place, that's for sure. I'd losae the bird in the top one..just too distracting even as small as it is.
While like the B&W, for some reason I think it will look better in color..finicky, I am today.

Silly! It's time for some proper pictures, of proper things... pretty things. Cats, ponies, young angelic children blowing bublles, and above all pretty postcard pictures of pretty landscapes. So there! What do you think of that then (hands on hips smilie there) Are you pulling my plonker or what? Trying to make this forum popular. ;D It will never catch on. I actually really like both of these. That G3 looks like a real gem. Sent from my GT-I9100 using proboards

Are we in that kind of mood, then? Are we having our "manses"?

I'm sorry. I'll try to be serious. Both of these are beauties. I first saw them on Flickr. Pretty much all I can say is...WOW! Lovely shots... I do prefer the color.

Yep, nicely done Rob. I like #1 best. The B&W is nice but feels a slight lacking, but I am unsure of what.

But seriously now, as we can't have silly, these are pretty neat. Sumptuous colour, view to die for, craggy, interesting rocks - what more could a serious forum want?
I'll do the "buts" now. #1 - lovely scenic image, but the foreground spoils it a tad for me, as it looks a bit too sharp. In fact, I'd probably crop a bit off the bottom and send the viewer to the main event in the distance.
#2 - there just seems to be a little too much light in the bottom third or so. I know it is hard to get good balanced light in a sunny situation where you have high contrast areas like rock, but maybe a bit of a grad over the lower half or so would reduce the glare.
And maybe I am typing through a hole in my head....

Or I'll make you a lifetime member of FSC (and you really don't want that) And anyone else who wants a bash. They are RAW files. www.mediafire.com/?eo28l8j48mh2qtn,d34q5iy9jzv318f

Cool image. You must have a big camera to take photographs like that. You should seriously think of becoming a photographer ;D

I especially like these last two, Rob. They were taken with a 40D? How many cameras do you have?

I especially like these last two, Rob. They were taken with a 40D? How many cameras do you have? Five, at the last count No, actually the last two are older shots. The first two were taken this week. I have quite a few of this spot (Strumble Head) it's such a great area - and only an hour's drive from my house en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strumble_Head
