While I was home in MD, I spent the day in DC. I apologize in advance for being a picture hog, but I just wanted to share these. I like #5 and #14 the best...#14 will make a nice B&W conversion.

Good morning, Chris! I agree. That one especially. I tried out B&W conversions on all of these and liked them all. _MG_9794mb&w by mariehass, on Flickr 'Rie

Great series 'Rie I am quite jealous. DC is definitely on my "to do" list. We are torn between there and LA for next years summer holiday.
I like them all but the stand out ones for me are- 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 13 and 16.

went for an older, grittier look in my conversion..this is where it gets fun wondering what other people like...or in this case want to try.

Come to DC! Marie and I will be tour guides. Be careful, you may regret that when the whole tribe turns up, Mr Webb, the current Mrs Webb and the two Weblets can be a bit much ;D

Cool, either way there could be an Anglo-American meetup on the cards. Still kicking myself that we didn't meet up last summer Chris when we were staying in Mickey's back yard.

Just home from work. Have been pixel peeping all day, but have a hard time formatting a response from my Droid.
Mary, I think you will have to be DC tour guide. I went with my sister, who drove as she has routes in DC and knows it very well. She asked me where I wanted to go, and then took me there. Our stops in this order were the Porta-John, the Jefferson Memorial, the Porta-John, the Korean War (Conflict) Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Porta-John, the National Holocaust Museum, the bathroom, Georgetown, lunch at the Irish Pub, the bathroom, and lastly the old Glen Echo Amusement Park (now a national historic site) and a rest stop trip to the bathroom, then home. ;D ;D ;D

I quite enjoyed my tour of DC through your eyes, Marie, and especially like #5 and the ones of the Arcade. I am also drawn to #9 because of all the interesting lines and texture. I'm wondering whether different processing and/or cropping might make it stand out more, but have nothing to suggest.
