Thank you Dave for the lesson. You have not only made your version but you have also shown how you have done it. The tif file showing the working layers was a great tip. You perhaps know that I use Silver but your refinement has a more direct approach, at least in the stage of the picture. Perhaps I am not meaning what I really am thinking. Perhaps - and why not ? - you also use Nik's but afterwords, you imposed to the images created with the plug in a new tonus, adding adjustment layers having a stronger control on what you have done previously. Personally, I do not intend to recreate/imitate/copy your work because I very much assume my own sight of the photographs. However, trying to copy an image of yours can have/has the great advantage of giving me more skills to do ... more skills to treat my photographs the way I like them to be. Perhaps I am messing up a bit... but seing your layers I have leaned adjustments I would never use. - The blown contour means that there is a hallo around the rock which I do not like. - Now, allow me to move on. I have re-done the same image with care. Oh, BTW I can understand that big large line towards the rock in the water. You want to guide the eye diagonally. Good ideia. Something to exploit ! As I was writing... I straighten the horizon having previously automaticaly and manually corrected the barril distortion. I also re-composed more carefully the image. Here is the result. Don't ask me what I have done ! Too many layers and adjustments Not much different from the first version ! Perhaps the sky is better. I have been guided by my eyes -
