Ken, I kinda like it. I've held off commenting because I feel I ought to like it more. Having had a good think about it, I've come to the conclusion that I don't have a clue. Sorry.

Ken, this is an interesting image, but I just so not find it as appealing as your street scenes or other images that you have presented.
Please forgive me,
'Rie

I think I know what perplexes some of you when you look at this image...one, the black space at the back is incongruent with the rest of the image as is the irregular stem in the foreground. Eliminate both and...

Chris - I guess we don't see it quite the same way. I like the repeated "V" element (lower edge in the middle, upper edge to the left, and the irregular stem on the right) and wouldn't want to lose it. Having said that, what you did on the upper one makes sense because it maintains the basic shape while making it less intrusive, so I will try that. I'd rather keep the irregular stem for the aforementioned reason and also because cropping it makes it feel too symmetric to me - you lose a strong line from the notch in the irregular stem to the "V" in the back. Thanks for taking time with it and giving me a good idea re that darker "V"

How about this, then? I used the Golden Spiral crop overlay which puts the primary curve over the right hand cut of which I modified by pushing the light stem over a tad. I didn't take out all the BG V but did lessen its impact a bit.

Heck, my brother and I never "saw" the same way...not likely we will either. ;D I don't have a brother, but considering the strong and often clashing personalities in my family, it would have been interesting for sure, but maybe not in a good way. Thanks for the latest take on it. I will go back to my PS file and probably end up with something similar (I hope).
