Was last Saturday. Nina and I joined a group from a little town about 40 miles east of us for a nice morning of shooting and meeting fellow enthusiasts. I believe there were about 22 folks on the walk. These are some of the images I am considering for the Kelby competition for our area. The telephone pole shown in a test thread was from the same shoot, but I don't think it is particularly exciting. Need all the C&C I can get. Hi Chris, I believe these are too many for one post. It's a little hard to review them and give detailed c&c, for me at least. My eye was drawn to #2, #4 and #7. #1: I feel that the subject is not strong enough to keep me in the image. I see the idea behind it and I believe that a portrait orientation would be better. Or perhaps you could add the truck in the frame if you could re-shoot it. #2: I like the contrast and the shadow of the roof and the overhanging beams add a lot to the weathered feel. It has a very clean composition and my eye is drawn to that shadow. I like it as it is but I would crop to get rid of the branches or clone them. I'm not sure though... I would like to see some more comments. I also think that the white border does not compliment it much. #3: I would like to see the whole of it though, or see less of the bike. #4: This is my favourite. Beautiful shadows, vivid colour, just a bit of tree to intrigue the viewer. That's a great capture! #5: I won't comment on this as I don't shoot anything live other than people... #6: Again, like #1, I can't find a strong focal point to keep me looking at it but I like the colours. Beautiful red. #7: I like this. It's nicely lit and reveals some nice paint textures. The straight forward composition works well for me. The black triangle is a little distracting but not much. This is just my personal view, I hope you were not offended (it's all about critique, right?). I would like to hear your thoughts.

Looks like you two had a good Photo Walk. The whole bunch of them are good, I prefer the 4th out of all of them. The tree, the shadow, the color and textures make for a great combination.
