There are some fun photography apps... for sure. I use Instagram, Camera+, Magic Hour (a little) and Snapseed. Snapseed is much more in depth than the others. You can do selective adjustments- brightness, contrast and saturation, ambiance and white balance, straighten, crop, sharpen, convert to black and white and a bunch of other effects as well as adjust center of focus and mimic tilt-shift and add frames if you want. Snapseed would be great on a iPad or tablet.
