I fully intend that the members will effectively run and shape this forum. However there are a few impositions that cannot be ignored.
I do not want to introduce pages on pages of forum rules but their are a few terms and conditions imposed by Proboards that we must observe. I have included a few of my own too but nothing unreasonable
Forum Content
Our forum hosts (Proboards) operate under a policy that anyone over the age of 13 can create or participate in forums created using their services. Please do not post anything that is contains nudity, excessive violence and/or pornographic content. This also applies to the linking to such material. Proboards reserve and practice the right to deactivate forums who do not comply with this policy.
Use a common sense approach but if you have any doubts contact one of the Admins before posting.
Copyright and intellectual Property Rights
You must observe copyright and the intellectual property rights of third parties. Please do not post the work of third parties directly into your posts without express permission and accreditation. You may link to a third parties sites but please remember that linking to inappropriate content is not allowed (see 'Forum Content' above).
Do not link to third party sites where you suspect that the content may be in breach of copyright.
As a photography forum it is likely that other members will occasionally modify your images as a means of aiding the original poster. This is assumed to be a default position. You can specify whether or not you wish other members to edit your images withing your member Profile see HERE
General Conduct
Trolling and bullying will not be tolerated. If you see anything that concerns you please use the report facility provided on the boards. There should be no reason to use excessive profanity and the admins reserve the right to alter posts where this occurs.
Admins and Moderators
Admins and mods are here to keep the forum running smoothly and provide help as required. Any personal communications with admins or mods is undertaken in strictest confidence.
The Admins and Mods reserve the right to remove any content that does not comply with the guidelines above. Offending material will be removed immediately but you will be offered reasons for the decision. Similarly as a last resort any threads that start to show signs of aggression or flaming may be locked. Again a reason will be offered by the Admin of Mod locking the thread. I see no reason why we should need to impose any of these measures but we must be realistic.
Publicity
Members are more than welcome to invite friends or link to the F-Stop Cafe from their own sites However, can I please ask you not to post links or make invites direct from other forums.
If you have any questions, observations or objections to these guidelines please PM me Wirefox (Steve)
Please enjoy your membership of the F-Stop Cafe
