Can I suggest that we add a new section for "Chris' Student Projects". I think it would be a worthy and unique addition to the forum.

Rob, I have to agree. Now I have a handle on what these folks are being asked to do - and their responses - I feel that some kind of a section is worthwhile. Not because I don't what them in the existing sections - but rather because I feel that they are building a body of work that is demanding of a place of it's own.
Problem is Mods / Admins workload - it may be too late.

This was the original intent but I think we were just waiting to see how things shaped up. It may also make it easier to get the feedback quickly if they are not mixed in with the rest. If we go with this it will not and certainly should not discourage interaction in the regular forum boards though. At the end of the day it really is down to Barry. Barry is doing a great job in administering and moderating this forum single-handedly so ultimately the decision is with him. We can move existing threads that are relevant onto a new board.

I agree. It would be a great to have a place for the student work and make browsing through it easier. It would all still appear on the new topics board anyway so the rest of the members wouldn't miss it.

Steve, as you said this was the original suggestion when Chris introduced his students to us. So go for it and set up a separate section for "Chris' Student Projects". Chris would you like to comment openly or via PM to Steve, about how you would like this to be ie. a single section or with sub sections, as it would be easier to get it right first time, in order to save Steve extra work.
As for administering and moderating this forum single-handedly, this has proved easy going so far as everyone here behaves well, and spam is minimal so far. Not as hard work as the previous forum I was involved with.

I would like to comment openly...it will good for me to see how my comments are received by the students and by other forum members...I do the best I can, but I can't always be at the top of my game and there are moments when I am not sure I have the right words.

English/Amercan translation, what I meant was how did you want this section to look like, just a single section or with sub sections within.

I think just a single section.

I think just a single section. OK, Steve is off line at the moment, but I'm sure he will set this up for you when he is able.

New board has been created in the 'Gallery' section. There is a link to it via the news fader. I will move the relevant threads across as I get time.
Its good to see so many postings and some good responses but we need more members to participate to ensure we are not giving a limited view. The great thing about this is that we can all learn. I am trying to use this opportunity to be more disciplined in my C&C.
