I could not find - it may be somewhere however - the "Mark Topics as read" This forum looks fine. I like the background as black

In fact there is a Mark as Read but inside each topic. I was thinking of a broader "Mark as Read" And something else. in my humble opinion the separation between one post and the next one is not very clear. I made kind of screen capture to show what I mean. I also used lines to make you understand better my point. And yet... When we click to insert an image it appear the code. Excellent. But the cursor is not on the middle but to the right. It would be easier to place it automatically between the codes. The same happens with the center alignment

Hello, Antonio. Thank you very much for your observations and suggestions. We are still working on the design of the forum to make it easier to navigate and to make it better. As you may probably notice by now, not a lot of us here are programmers per se so working on the computer codes to make these changes are still boggling us right now. ;D But be assured that we will work on these suggestions for the benefit of us all.
For me, the simplest way I do whenever I check the forum is to click the "New Topics" button just below our F-Stop Banner at the top of the page and from there I would immediately see the new posts that I have not read and those that I had. Perhaps that can make it easier for you, too.
Steve (AKA wirefox) is working on the separation issue between posts. I wish I am knowledgeable about the XHTML and CSS syntax so I can easily pinpoint exactly where on the script code does the issue lies but I'm not. It would take some time but we are definitely working on it and asking for some assistance from the very good support staff of ProBoards.
It's so nice to have you here with us. I hope you'll enjoy your enjoy and be as active as you were. Cheers.

I am struggling with the lines between posts. It is not for want of trying. I have been given some code but it does not work with our design configuration so the host help desk admins have posted my question on the code request board. We will see what comes of that. In the meantime I have changed the shading of alternate posts slightly to give slightly more emphasis to each post. I like the red lines Antonio. I just need to get them there now

My dear friends I was not receiving notification mail from here - neither from other threads - because I thought I it would be automatic. I am in a hush now but I will come and read carefully what you were kind enough to write. See you later. But Steve, there is no need for lines between posts. Just make one dark black and the other one next to it light gray. The separation of tones will distinguish them pretty well and you don't have all that work (Suggestion only)

We will try to work on it. Thank you.

I see now that some improvements have been made. Now, the separation of posts is clear even when they are small. The line is very thin and elegant. Well done Steve. You do not earn anything from here ? Not fair. Just for the fun ? You could try to place some of those Google words which return some money. I am not very aware of that but you know what I mean. Cambridge has that. In general all is very nice and gentle for the eyes. I mean the background is black which is very very good. It's my favourite. I have been in a forum once I had to quit because they were grey or white and that was not good for my eyes. I know some people have the same opinion. Good work boys !! I hope to be able to be here for a long time and often.

You do not earn anything from here ? Not fair. Just for the fun ? Thanks Antonio we are chipping away at the few remaining problems. There is no income from this site. The host provides the service for free and they take the revenue from the advertising on the boards. I enjoy doing it. In fact the only thing that gets in the way is work. I need to win the lottery and live a life of gay abandon...like Rob M
