For the month of February I would have to go with this image from my trip to the Battle of Olustee re-enactment.What turned out to be a good day on the weather side allowed me to shoot 300 plus images and I turned up with a few that came out pretty good. The Horsemen This coming month I hope to make it to another event that will be even better than this.Fingers are crossed that I can get the time off from work to attend said event.Vrooom,Vrooom. ;D

This has to be mine because the workflow is a combination of Canockwolf's high contrast workflow and one I've been developing for a while. I like it a lot.

Being I have had little time and spent it all chasing birds....here ya go! ;D I liked the background here and also the feel of peace and quiet which is spot on for what I enjoyed while making it.

Ra - I liked this one when you posted it in a thread, just the fact that you have nothing out of character within the frame.
Chris - This is very nice, I can't remember seeing this one before, but you have done a great job on the conversion.
Paul - You will wear that new lens out at this rate, but you are getting some good detailed sharp images with it.

My favourite picture for February actually started in January (it was a looooong exposure). I was out hunting the full moon and got this as an afterthought. #1 . Only when I did the B&W conversion did I realise what good dusk light I was getting on the steps and grass. So I resolved to go back on the next full moon and take a picture from the bottom of the steps – looking the other way. This is what I got. #2 SOOC 5D 21mm f8 @15sec ISO 400 #3 After pp and as a result of suggestions given here in the Cafe:- . I'm particularly pleased with this result as it is one of the few times that I've been successful in getting a good outcome from a planned shoot.

Nick - Your final version was well worth the effort involved in getting there, and the B&W version has so much more detail. I can see why it is your favourite image of the month.

I have taken a bazillion images this month... not too many keepers. But, I did like these 3... I know it said one, but I'm a rebel at heart. Okay... that was a lie... I'm a complete rule follower... usually. This one I like because the image and the texture turned out just like I had in my mind before shooting the image... doesn't happen very often. The evolution of this one was fun to work on. I have had my LensBaby lens on my camera for two months now and am still struggling with manual focus (as you can see). But, I like how this one captured the moment. All three of these were with the LensBaby.

Nice set Mary, out of the three I like your second one the best.

This would have to be my favourite image of this month. Although it was taken in October, it only really sprang to life as a b & w a few days ago. I love seeing what you all like as your best images. There is some really lovely stuff appearing.

Very dramatic sky Kit, and well worth bringing back to life.

Looking back through my images taken in February, I think that this one stands out for me, especially after a few edits from suggestions here.
