Rather beautiful! www.davidbookbinder.com/photoblog/but have all y'all seen these before? Is it old news? and while we're at it....I cannot figure out where to plant the dahlias. I thought I had a plan but, now, I'm not so sure. The ridiculous thing is that there seem to be a plethora of images on the internet of up close on the flowers but not a whole lot in a garden setting. It's my first time growing them and don't know what to expect. You guys are versatile, right? ;D ;D ;D Any ideas?

Those mandalas are pretty cool. The first photo processing software I bought was from Corel and they had a kaleidoscope filter that you could do that with your images. As far as helping you with your garden situation,I don't have a clue.

Depends on how tall they grow, Katy, are they the dwarf, normal or extra beeg? The dahlias, that is, nit the mandalas. ;D

I love Dahlias. The big pom pom kind. I used to grow them in pots on the patio until the cocker spaniel took a shine to the bulbs while they were overwintering in the greenhouse and ate the lot Anywhere in full sun worked for me and give them liquid tomato feed every week.

Oh, oops! It's been such a crazy couple of weeks.... I know that there are threads that I've forgotten to respond, too. sorry! Antonio - I adore that image!!! Don't you! How wonderful is that? Almost all of the images on google show them standing off on their own and I think that this is because they sound like they're heavy feeders; so, I don't think that I'll tuck them in a tight spot in the garden. Mine are the four foot kind and they look like they'll be so pretty. Peoople seemt o love them and I think I'll be discovering wy. Just need to think of a spot....

I think you will do fine in your placement of the Dahlias. You have an eye for color and composition and you have a green thumb. Just blend them together and wa-la Looking forward to seeing photos of them. Close ups and in your final location choice.
