Took me less than 30 seconds to post it here, Chris. Just follow Rob's instruction using the normal method and not the uploader. I forgot to say... Good "night photography" you got here. Cheers.

I've followed the instructions until I am blue in the face...and nothing...I know I am missing a step, but I cannot find a simple way to link the url like I can on photobucket where I just click on the photo and it gives me 4 options to post. farm7.static.flickr.com/6040/6226504809_07cf0d0654.jpg [/img] Finally, but still a lot more work.

I am very sorry if our forum is not as smooth as the others right now but as photographers we are trying to wear worn out programmer shoes with Steve right now. Here is what I did in less than 20 seconds actually. 1. I went to your Flickr photo and left-click it. It showed itself on the Flickr lightbox. 2. On the top right of the lightbox I clicked the option "View all sizes" 3. I right clicked the image and selected the option "Copy Image Location" on the drop down menu and I left-clicked that option. 4. I went back to your F-Stop post and press CTRL+V to paste the link to your F-Stop post. 5. I clicked the option "Insert Image" above the smilies and then I placed the mouse cursor in between the brackets and press CTRL+V. I hope I explained it OK.

When I right click the lightbox image, that piece of dialogue does not appear, therefore, icannot get the image to show..just tried three different possibilities and none worked.

You have to left-click the option "View All Sizes" first on the top right section of the lightbox screen before you can see the option "Copy Image Location" by right-clicking the image, Chris.

This may be the same/similar problem I ran into with URL's from my gallery on Imagekind that I corresponded in private messages about.
The difference this time is the server at the short URL domain must translate the link code into a full URL character stream which may be too long, as the Imagekind URL's are, for the forum software. It chokes an tosses in that extra White space character which breaks the link.

I am just as happy to stay with Photobucket..no hassles. I did left click larger images..I had someone else follow the instructions and they didn't get there either...maybe it is because I use IE...quien sabe, but I'm done messing with it.

The fuss, Chris is that I don't see the same information as you do...don't know why, but it simply isn't there...so, I'll stick with my tried and true PhotoBucket which works everytime.

Chris
Photobucket is fine. I used it when building the forum design, buttons, header etc all in PB and it really works a treat. I love the way you pick links up in PB.

Just let me know when proboards gets the long photo URL problem fixed. I've looked at photo sharing sites and I'll be staying with Imagekind. I have no problems posting images through the URL to the image file on any other site and this is the only forum I'm on hosted by proboards, so this is their issue to resolve.
In the mean time, look for my latest photos on my Imagekind, facebook, and other participating forums.

I have a separate folder for each forum on my website that I upload my images to at whatever size is appropriate. It is then simply a case of copying the image url into the post box for this forum. No Flickr, no Photobucket ...no problems .... so far!!
