Had this idea for an image stirring in my noggin for a while so I went to the store and bought me a granny smith apple. This image is a manual focus stack of three shot's to try and get the stem all in focus.Later I will cut it in half and take some more photo's of it. Granny Smith f/9@1/20 sec,ISO 200,85mm macro lens

Ron
Yes, yes, yes! Well done. Just shows what you can do. Love the composition and the colours. What did you stack with?

Good job Ron, and an idea I might steal for the winter months.

Thanks everyone. It's nice to have an idea come together like you envisioned it. @rob:Sans focus rail,I took the three shot's changing the focal point with the lens,as you had stated in another thread posted earlier. Then after processing the three images together in ACR,I opened all three up in Elements 10 and stacked two images, the bottom and middle of the stem in focus, and masked through the middle image to bring out the focused bottom. When satisfied with results, flattened image and stack the top of the stem with an inverted mask, then removed the masking on the upper part of the stem. @nick:Steal away. And that goes for anyone else,no matter what fruit or veggie you care to use as I get some of my inspiration for what gets posted on this forum.
