This assignment was started by Mick (Muckergee) on the old F-Stop Flickr discussion board. So its all credit to Mick for the assignment
It's not a competition. There are no prizes. It is just to see what we get, when we do the same subject.
Your mission, If you decide accept it, Is to Interpret a word. Produce 5 Images In a set. No borders, no mounts. Just the Image of your interpretation.
You will have a month to complete it. You don't have to do it, If you don't want to. But, it would be interesting to see what we get as a group.
The word is "Diagonals".
The assignment will close around the 8th October. Most of the participants from Flickr should be well on with it now. But anyone else has plenty of time to jump on board
REMEMBER: you can always link to your Flickr set. You do not have to post them here.
You can check the Calendar (main menu bar) to keep abreast of assignment closing dates

Thanks for starting it up, Ron. You can modify your first post and attach the other remaining four later when you're done to complete your set. The image looks good to me.

I hope Mick and Steve would agree with the idea that we can start posting images here per member even if the set is not complete yet. My suggestion would be "while they are trying to complete and process their images, each member can post the finished images with the intention of modifying their posts later to insert the other images to complete the set." Kindly let me know if it is agreeable to all. For me, I appreciate it that Ron took the initiative to show us the first image that he worked on. Hope to hear some feedback from you guys. Thanks.

Just a quick one to say that I found Mick's assignment a very stimulating one, and I'm loving these images......and I also think that Jiro's idea is very sound as seeing what others are doing would be very inspiring along the way to the deadline. I'll have my set ready on the 8th, but will put some up here tomorrow as today I'm already trying to catch up on all belated threads before sunrise signals a busy day ahead. Giannos, great marine diagonals you have there And Ron, aren't you the one who was having trouble seeing diagonals not so long ago? Looks like you're having no problems seeing some fine ones now

Manthos The verticals of the masts are masking the diagonals of the stays. The reflection is cool, though! Nice one
