This months assignment requires the photographic interpretation of 'The Start of Spring' or if your are in the southern hemisphere 'The Start of Autumn'.
There is be no restriction on the interpretation except no nudity allowed. There is also no restriction on the level of post-processing. You are encouraged to submit 5 images based on your interpretation. Please be reminded that we are limiting the biggest dimension size for your submitted images up to 1024px only. It's either the width or the height that should be 1024px long. You can interpret the word using only one subject or multiple subjects depending on your style and taste. The assignment will be open until March 31st 2012.
There are no prizes to be won here but its is a great opportunity to get those creative juices flowing.

The weather here has not made me very enthusiastic about getting out to capture images of spring, especially in the rain, so I have resorted to getting out some I made earlier. 1 - This is a shot from one of the many oil seed rape fields. Nikon D200, f7.1, 1/640, ISO200, Nikon 70-200 at 200mm. 2 - This is one of our flowers in the garden just starting to pop it's head out into the fresh air. Nikon D200, f9, 1/640, ISO800, Sigma 105mm f2.8 Lens

Like the second one as the first, despite the yellow of the rape seed, I find the yellow color cast on the green stems a bit too much.
I wonder if the second one couldn't do with a tad more saturation.
Do like the graduation of colour tones in the first image...subtle but sharp.
