If I ever be mad enough to buy a furbished Leica M9 where could I do it in England reliably ? Or Germany ? I can remember Steve once told us about one shot somewhere in England. But to find that post ... " The compact size of Leica M cameras, their unobtrusive looks, minimalist design, and the almost inaudible sound of their shutters make it possible for Leica M photographers to virtually melt into the background. The M9-P now makes photography even more unobtrusive - instead of the red dot on the front, it now bears a restrained Leica logogram on the top deck. And, in turn, is even more discreet." I do like this ! Thank you

Not sure about Leica but MPB Photographic offer great service when buying used Canon and Nikon gear. I have been considering an alternative to a DSLR for some time but I am not in the market for a Leica thats for sure. I will keep dreaming of a Fuji X-Pro for the time being

Thank you Steve. With this crisis Leica is also a reverie for me. But, just in case I get mad... The British Pound is very hight now...

I agree with Steve.... I made mistake for selling my 1st set D7000 + lenses to buy Leica M9... After holding it and try for a week, I regret my decision.. So I sold the leica and buy another D7000.. Now, I have Fuji X10 as my sidekick camera.... ;D

Like Michael Reichmann said - www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/cameras/m9-paris.shtml - "...The best analogy that I can come up with is a standard transmission stick shift vs. an automatic transmission. Some people have never learned to drive a stick, and can't even get out of the driveway when confronted with having to drive one. Some people can, but prefer not to. Then, there are those that love to drive a stick, buy their cars that way, and rather hate being stuck behind the wheel of an automatic even if these are easier to drive..." this camera is very demanding and should be used with some patience and dedicated spirit. I myself I prefer automatic gear on the road and mainly in town but I must recognize that driving with the stick is also a pleasure. I can drive with both unlike many people who learned to drive with the automatic gear box. What I like most in it is the fact that the M9 is silent - or almost - and discrete. I wanted to make pictures at my waist level but my Canon G9 is very slow while M9 is fast when not sleeping. I wouldn't mind to adjust all the settings - or at least some of them because one can always photograph with aperture priority - and what I most would appreciate would be the quality of the images. I would - very very much - like to try one. No way to rent it in Portugal And... one last comment: it is terribly expensive ! Again

The nex-7 is a great camera, not as nice to look at as the x-pro 1 though. But is was referring to the NEX-9 rumours flying around the internet, which is going to be a hybrid, so not actually a NEX or a Alpha, but it will be a CSC full frame.

Thank you Don. They look good. Are they just out of camera ? Don't they miss a bit sharpness ? Does it make any sound when you photograph ?

Antonio, the pictures already edited in CS5 using auto tone, auto contrast and resize.. Yes, comparing the pictures I took with my D7000 it is less sharp... ;D The only sound came out is the beep for focusing and the shutter sound effect... If you turn on the silent mode then no sound at all...
