What is crazier are the people who believe they have no need to hire a photographer and that their super phone can do it all "Just as good" as some over priced professional. ( I even had one interested in me doing family portraits until they got a iphone and said that why pay me or anyone else when the iphone took the best pictures they ever seen. )

I think we have to face the fact that an iPhone will meet the needs of most people much of the time. Most people have a low visual appreciation threshold that if exceeded is wasted effort. Many who hire professionals do so because they can not because they appreciate the aesthetics. Having Peter Lik do your wedding is more about middle class form than artistic appreciation. Uncle Bob with his Pentax or cousin Trevor with his pay as you go iPhone does not cut the mustard with cheese and whine in the drawing room.
Its quite disconcerting to think most people will like your work because they believe they should. True of all art though. You can learn to recognize art. You can even learn the socially acceptable things to ssy about it but to empathize with it is a rare commodity not purchasable with a Harvey Nichols store card.
Ooh I am in a cynical mood this evening. I even questioned whether a Altrincham solicitor could tell the difference between a Range Rover Sport and Plumbers Nissan Ute in a blindfold test. Apparently he can. The smell of Polo Sport for men lingers longer than that of Lynx Cheeky Chappy deoderant...I guess the plumber gets his Polo from free port at Fleetwood

41MP on a sensor the size of a knat's doodah. I though image quality degrades at an optimum sensor size to pixel density ratio. There must be something pretty special about that sensor and the software that interpolates the degradation into positive quality. As stated, Noks run windows so until that changes I will not be looking at another one.
