Thought I had most of Photoshop figured out (well, sort of). I have an image which in "Image Size" is
11.6 M 2400 X 1687
10 X 7.029 240 Res
with Scale, Constrain and Resample all checked, Bicubic
I need my image not to exceed 1M or 1000 Pixels on the longest size.
How do I get from here to there?

Play around with the value of the Resolution and bring the value down until the longest side of your image falls near 1024px. Mine usually falls in between 100 - 120ppi (almost half of 240ppi). Another easier route is to use the feature "Save for Web" on the File Menu then configure the settings once and you can reuse the same setting for subsequent operations. Good luck, Chris.
