These are two shots I did a week ago on the Kelby Walk. The building is county courthouse and I chose a rather abrupt angle, I think as much to challenge its "authoritiveness" as to challenge the angle of attack. In either case, I wanted the image tack sharp. In my first approach, I used Kelby's "Embossing" technique for sharpening. In the second, a technique which utilizes a blur effect. A 100% shot of both techniques is shown between the two images. Curious as to your thoughts as per the sharpening and, of course as always, on the image itself.

I know my eyes are bad Chris but frankly the difference is indiscernible on my screen. I would imagine that the differing techniques would have a greater impact on a large print.

Chris, I think the blur example is the best. With the first I see a very slight darkening and does not appear quite as sharp.
