Or... structure and discipline vs chaos... next? ....Laura Ashley cushion comfort vs Good taste.... oops too far may as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb then I'll just have you know, Missy! Laura Ashley cusions ARE good taste. They do make them without ruffles, these days, you know. Oh, eesh, Kay! I can't believe it! and, we always agree on everything! Well, there's, also, sleep vs. the living dead!

Why does this thread have a big red 'X' next to it? It isn't because of Kay and my pillow fight, is it?! Nothing's wrong with ruffles! ;D My mom overdosed us all in the eighties, that's all. Along with our Lady Di, high collared ruffle-y white blouses. and skirts with fox hunting scenes printed around the bottom of them... Floral jumper dresses....aaah, memories!

Katy The red x is simply to indicate the negativity of the initial post. It was a replacement for the thumbs down icon...it doesn't work does it By the way I don't think the US had the same 80's that we had in the UK Why does this thread have a big red 'X' next to it? Katy The red x is simply to indicate the negativity of the initial post. It was a replacement for the thumbs down icon...it doesn't work does it What in the world does that mean? negativity of a post? We have, er, those? I mean, negative posts??? Now, isn't that funny? I thought the US was flooded with interest in the UK - your music groups (David Bowie, etc. - not that I listened to them) and punk rock, beginning of serious infatuation with the BBC, serious Laura Ashley love, in certain corners, anyway and, yup! Princess Di! sigh - I was just in sixth grade....a real live princess - wow! Urf! that all sounds a bit eclectic. Throw Michael jackson and leg warmers into the mix (I can't believe that we wore those shoulder pads up to our ears, Kay! ;D) and it starts to sound like anchovy and toothpaste pizza! Oh, how do I know what was happening in the eighties? I was so seriously in my own world. My own world that never ever matches what's going on with the rest of the world's cultural trends. My sister wonders if we were in the same eighties, too - and, you know, we lived in the same house!
