Soap bubbles with coloured refraction from card underneath. I used liquid hand-soap in warm water. Although these images are highly processed in Photoshop CS6 they are also the result of some considerable effort in photographing them. The set-up is quite involved (see shot below) and I had difficult getting the bubbles and refractions from the coloured card right. Because the bubbles from the soap kept dissipating quickly I had to have a plastic tube in my mouth as I shot (no, I'm not posting that shot), the other end was in the water dish, so I could 'blow bubbles' as I shot them. I think it must be winter again! Left click images for on-black view #1 #2 #3 #4 #5

Great color Rob, love the movement as well. #1 and #3 being my favorite but I a curious about the last, is that an added effect I see. It looks quite intricate and I would like to see it bigger. The all look great on black!

The all look great on black! The last one uses a fractals filter plugin. You can get it here. It only works well on certain shots - especially those with fine detail. www.redfieldplugins.com/filterFractalius.htm The first three use the Ripples magic plugin, also from Redfield www.redfieldplugins.com/filterRipplesMagic.htm #4 is a straight shot. Yes, they do look very strong on a black background.

I have used it on a rose bush sometime in the past, it can get pretty wild if over pushed but you have used it well.

Ithink I like #3 and #5 the best...but seriously, I really need to live in the UK. Seems your over-the-counter pharmaceuticals really rock! Haven't seen this kind of color and action since the 60's.

Well Rob, these sure give the colour receptors a work out! I find all of them fascinating and I like #3 in particular. I'm seeing Mrs Punch – as in Punch & Judy – in there. Oh, maybe it's the UK pharmaceuticals kicking in – steroid nasal spray sure is powerful.

You just need to get out the Hendrix wig you bought in Woolworth (before they went bust) and raid granny's pill pot, and you are away!
