I do believe Ron (Rasbury) and I have done the first meet up of this new forum. We met today in Gainesville, FL at the Museum of Natural History in their most wonderful buttefly pavillion.
I am still in Gainesville and he is off to the east plucking his banjo so it will be until tomorrow that either of us psot any images.
Ron is a right nice fellow but his wife has all the looks in the family (just kidding, Ron...well, sort of ;D).

Nice one. I look forward to seeing the results and how you both interpreted the same location.
What a cool thing to have happened.

You guys are so funny! So, was it fun and inspiring or distracting to have another photographer, there? Whatever it was, it sounds like a brilliant excuse to go out and shoot (with your bazooka! )

We pretty much did our own thing. We were shooting different cameras and different lenses, so couldn't do much data sharing. The shot you liked the most, Ron was kind enough to point out to me.
It was fun meeting another member. With Rob's video, I now feel more of a connection to a real person and both he and Ron weren't anything like I expected. Weird, but so true to real life... ;D

Ditto on that Chris.Just have to add that you can't really get to distracted at a place like this because everyone is taking photo's with some kind of camera.

Interesting, I met one of my photography mentors from Blogland, when I went to NYC. She suggested that we meet at the NYC Botanical gardens! WHAT a place! We had a lovely three hour chat but, then, I dropped her like a rock, when the light turned mellow. I have my priorities, see...? ;D It was so strange knowing someone so well but only having met them moments before.
