The eagle eyed will have noticed a change to the message alerts. You will get a grey blob and the message "No New Messages" or a red blob and the message "You Have New Messages"...inspired I know If you click on either you will see a menu roll down above the message. This menus tells you how many posts you have, how many are new, quick links to your inbox/outbox etc. This menu will be visible from anywhere on the forum. Let me know if you have any issues

Hi Steve, that should prove to be really useful for PM's.
I have a related question that I've not beed able to resolve on my own. Is there a way to determine which threads I haven't viewed since a post has been added? I find myself looking at the dates of the last post to a thread as a starting point but I suspect that there is a simple way to find the posts I haven't read.

Hi Frank
You can use 'New Topics' in the menu but in terms of filtering posts that you have not read that is supposedly coming with ProBoards 5. Release date is not confirmed yet. Others may have a workaround

Thanks for checking, Steve. I was concerned that I couldn't find something that was right under my nose! LOL! I'll play with 'new topics'.
