I don't have any results ready yet to share, but suffice to say, a team photo is not as easy to produce as one might think for an Indoor lowlight venue! Me being me, I did a lot of research & practice first, but things still can go pear shaped. I was very keen to avoid, the stand in 2 rows tallest at the back line em up & shoot em look. However as this is what is always done, they were like preprogrammed dummies, they just kept going to that pose, no matter how much I tried! In doing my reading research, it surprised me just how common this assignment is and how much angst it can cause... It seems there are many enthusiasts out there, who have been happy all season taking action shots, who are conscripted/asked/press ganged into doing the 'team photo' Here is 1 of my practice efforts at home in the garage with my nearest & dearest... I wanted to assess how close we could be & yet not have any flash shadow from me onto him from the lights... As I think we are not trying for fancy directional portrait lighting here, rather I wanted to 'light the space' & put them in it - every family will want to see their child's face well lit. I think the more advanced directional techniques would be fine for the adult/senior publicity poster, but not here. I will share some of a result shortly & see what lessons I did & didn't learn.. Off to the day job now!

Bets of luck Kay, I look forward to seeing the results. +1 I know nothing about this type of photography - so all I can do is offer encouragement.
