Hello Chris (again !). I'm trying hard to love these – but it's tough – again that's a comment on my failings rather than your images. The problem I have with all three – and it is my problem – is that if I where to print them and present them in a competition they would likely be dismissed as being “burnt out”. That said, #1 is interesting but I feel needs the top edge cleaning up a little – remove the two prominent intrusions ? Also the cable clip is a bit intrusive. # 2 – I find the impressed writing in the light reflector fascinating. How about removing the highlights on the bottom of the light handle? #3 – Sorry – the engineer in me is have trouble seeing past the apparent distortion in the window – where the bottom is apparently narrower than the top.

That's what I needed to hear. I pretty much knew the consditions exisited. What I would like is some feedback on how better to expose for these shots the next time I try?

Chris, right now all I can think of is to get the tripod out, do a huge range of exposures (+ & - 5 stops?), and go down the HDR route. HTH
