I like numero uno, the best. I think you did, too! ;D

Hey, Steve! I have quite a few pics of backlit leaves and I'm quite anxious about it all. They all look lovely to me. So do yours! They all catch the beauty of autumn - the colors and the light. What makes an extraordinary autumn photo? Must we have an extraordinary photo? How do we get one that hasn't gone before? (never mind that we do have to manage the light and dof with them, too. ![:P](http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j372/FStopCafe/Smileys/Tongue.gif) ) Well, I ask myself these questions..... a lot, lately, too, I confess. ![::)](http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j372/FStopCafe/Smileys/RollEyes.gif) So, your photos....I like #1 the best, possibly, because there's that definite point of focus? but, they're all very beautiful in a subtle way. The last one - actually, I had an extremely similar thought of what the texture looked like, as Chris did. I do like the texture, though. It's yummy sandstone. ![;)](http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j372/FStopCafe/Smileys/Wink.gif) Is it too subtle and washed out? Well, sorry, no definitive answers from me, today, apparently. ![::)](http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j372/FStopCafe/Smileys/RollEyes.gif)

I would vote for #1 also. Nice work. I like the colors of #3. ![:)](http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j372/FStopCafe/Smileys/Smiley.gif)

Great job on #1, Steve. The colors and the subtle highlights really makes it work for me. The shot looks a bit static for me though, since you almost centered the prominent leaf. ![:)](http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j372/FStopCafe/Smileys/Smiley.gif)
