These are all fantastic. Good work, Grashopper. ( You have to read that with Mister Miaggi's voice.)

Very well done Ron. Envious I am. In particular I love the way you've handled the white petals in #2. Couple of points to consider. In #1 there is a green flower pod (?) - lower left of centre - that is as sharp as the main part of the main subject. I find it distracting - possible candidate for blur treatment? In #5 there is quite a lot of space on the left side that is not doing much - except the flowers in the bottom left corner - that I find distracting. How about a square crop that results in the oof diagonal branch running into the bottom left corner? HTH

Beautiful Ron, I especially like the roses.
Although the second one of the two looks a bit dirty, like the whites are off. Is that the processing?

Thanks everyone! @ Steve: The different color is a result of wb settings in the camera. I'll most likely go back a fix the color on the dirty looking rosé before they have to be turned in.
@ Nick: These are all cropped at an 8x10 ratio as that's the image size need for the three prints that have to turn in. Will do a square crop to see how it looks and post it later.

Super sharp vibrant images. I yearn to see more or less of #1, if you get my meaning. It falls between two stools compositionally. #2 on the other hand works for me although part of the main flower is missing because you are focussing on the central part of the flower and is nicely balanced by the out of focus flower in the background. Roses are great but I have to agree with Nick over the bee pic, although take your point about the submission restrictions. How about a portrait crop? You should end up with an impressive submission.

Thanks Mike. I'm also posting the reworked images of the bee and rose for those who were interested in seeing them in a different light, so to say.
