Here are a few more images taken today for my class assignment. f/10@1/250 sec, ISO 800 f/8@1/200 sec, ISO 800 f/16@1/40 sec, ISO 800 I have posted two of the same flower at different f/stops to get your opinion on which one you like. I have also posted reworked images in the other thread containing my assignments.

Nicely done Ron. I marginally prefer #2 over #3 - #2 has a bit nicer background.

Gosh, Ron...you are obviously in your niche. Between 2 and 3... I prefer the background of 2 but the flower in 3...either way they are both nicely captured.

Hi Ron,
While I like your images, I find that #2 may be suffering from a bit of over-sharpening - note the blue halos around the flowers?

Thanks Marie!
Yes, I saw those halos and was thinking the same thing. I'll go back and fix them later today.

The third over the second for me - I love the bud. You could always play with the background a little to make it recede more, either with selective lightening/darkening or by desaturating a little. In the first, the leaf lower left has got to go.

Thanks Ken!
I'm not to fond of the leaf either, but I don't feel that any kind of removal would make it look any better. I have other images of azaleas from that day hat I'll take another gander at.

Found out what was causing the blue halo on the above images. Was happening during the saturation boost I was doing in LAB, so I turned down the blues this time.

Ah So! Very calming - with plenty of space on the right side - I like that.
