Using my Nikon D40X goldie IR, Tokina 12-24mm and IR72 filter... My friends said that I'm weird using IR filter for IR converted camera... But the result is surprisingly okay... Image SOOC Edited with photoshop using auto tone, auto contrast and auto color... Edited with photoshop using auto tone, auto contrast, auto color and channel mixer... So there are the result from the weird guy....

There is nothing weird about using an IR 720 filter, it will block nearly all of the visible spectrum and only the infrared component of the scene forms the image.

Was the result much different from just using the IR converted body on it's own Don? I would have thought that it wouldn't make any difference stacking another filter on top as they will both simply block all of the spectrum except IR wavelengths. Interesting results as usual anyway.

Steve, the different is only with the color… Nothing else… This is the picture SOOC from the IR camera without using additional IR filter… This is the picture after edited with channel mixer…
