Up to a state park near Birmingham, AL...beautiful grounds but one of the most void places in the universe for a diversity of wildlife...got some and they are to come later. The best thing I discovered (after bribing the gate keeper to open a 1/2 hour earlier so I could cop a decent sunrise) was the great contrasts between the water, sky and foliage. I took advantage of it at every opportunity. Part 1: (lots more to follow) Two variations of the same shot: The Day Breaks And I really loved how these two trees (back one a pine, foreground I believe a hemlock) adapted their arm reach almost identically to take full advantage of the morning sun. I really like the colour (color...) version of the sunrise - that honey colour is very moreish...

Me three. As much as I like B&W, the color contrast in the other one provides a whole extra dimension.

Well ...... I like the B&W just a little more than the colour. But what pulls my chain is that the B&W comes from that colour frame - magic stuff!
