Bleah to the Sigma...my 80-400 with a 1.4 Tele-Converter does just as well...in fact, better. Great lens for static shots but the pits for tight places with fast moving objects - like birds.

I won't buy the lens. At 6.3 lbs, it is just too much a beast to handle day in, say out and I'm not a big fan of shooting wildlife with a tripod or a monopod for that matter. I'm sticking with the 80-400 and the 1.4 extender. 560 mm is plenty long enough for most of what I shoot.
