Now that I finally have a film scanner, my film work can make the leap into the real world. This is the result: This was shot as a couple frames of Kodak Gold 200 with my Konica BigMini 302 while I was attempting to make a drive after a Texas Snow/Ice storm. The frames were scanned at 2400 DPI, 94 D/mm, 48 bit / pixel yielding 7 MP TIF files which were merged and post processed in photoshop. This final image is 5420 x 1913 ( 10 MP ) and has been reduced to a width of 800 for presentation. Here are the original scans: and Does the 2400 DPI work or should I go for a 4800 or 9600 DPI Scan ?

I just got done with a 6x8 negative scan at 94 lp/mm resolution, 4800 PPI, shot with my Mamiya RB67 Professional SD Medium Format fSLR and Mamiya C 150mm f/4.0 Variable Soft Focus which turned out much clearer than this image above that was with my Konica BigMini 302. The resulting image was 150 MP with 14,160 x 10,544 pixels and a file size of 875MB. ( the Konica has poorer focus, from optics, or camera motion when shot ) Here is my RB67 scan: I know the sky is being blown out as I wanted the exposure set for the bloom in the center of the frame. and here is 100% for the pixel peepers: I am aware of the noise, dust, and scratch, the negative was abused by the lab that I'll never use again.
