These video tutorials explains how to get a link from Flickr and Photobucket, so you can post your images here in the forum. The content is aimed at people who are not familiar with this process. The idea is that if you have any problems getting links and posting in this forum you should come to this thread, view the videos, and if you still have any difficulties post your questions here. The videos are quite long but do cover all of the relevant areas that others have had difficulty with in the past.
If you are not familiar with uploading images to Flickr, you might find this video tutorial on the Flickr Uploader Tool very useful. www.f-stop-cafe.com/index.cgi?board=tutorials&action=display&thread=366
You need to watch in full screen mode - click the symbol in the bottom-right corner of the video window. Also, change the viewing size (also at the bottom) to HD1080 - it was created in HD mode.
The images below are the ones that were posted in the video tutorials. YOU NEED TO WATCH THE VIDEOS FOR IT TO MAKE ANY SENSE. The images are just included as real-life examples for you to test out.

All of the images elow are links from Flickr and Photobucket at a size of 1,000 pixels on the long side. If you are posting your own image in portrait orientation, make the long side 700 pixels.[/b]

And this is how it comes out in the forum... Note that clicking this image will take you back to Flickr as that's what Flickr prefer. There is also a link under the shot to take you to the photostream of the image submitter. TRY IT YOURSELF BY CLICKING ON THE LINKS.

Use this when you want to provide a link to an image, but don't actually want to show it here in the forum.
This is the code for the link (as copied from Flickr)
Note there are URL tags around the image, not IMG tags. And this is how it comes out in the forum post. TRY IT YOURSELF BY CLICKING ON THE LINK.

This one was 1000x750 pixels on photobucket. Don't post an image in landscape mode more than 1,000 pixels on the long side. Note that clicking on this image will not link back to Photobucket, but will take you to the f-stop light-box. Try it.
This one was 600x450 pixels on photobucket. Note that clicking on this image will not link back to Photobucket, but will take you to the f-stop light-box. Try it.
