smaller size: Marie, this was the only one that I really liked, in the end. I do have some frosty grass, too... There's this song by Clannad that I heard, when I was in high school. It's this song that I've had stuck in my head, off and on, for about twenty five years, now. It has the phrase "dewy grass" in it and every time....well, I easily get it stuck in my head all over again. Since, I am, now, whistling it nonstop, I thought I'd share it with you.

Loved the subtle focus and that nice bokehs! I'm pretty sure Marie would love this.

This is very beautiful, Katy. Such soft colour and I love those out of focus bubbly things.

That's quite something, Katy. Every time I look at it, I see something new to appreciate, like the light reflecting off the bokeh in the upper right corner. Very nice.

Sorry Katy, but unusually for me, i don't really like this one I want to see more detail in the grass that has the focus point as it's fighting for my attention with the bokeh on the right. Others seem to like it though, so maybe it's just me. i just can't seem to get into this one.

Thanks, Willie, Kit, George and Janis! and, thanks, Steve, that's good feedback. I've sat on this for over a month....just not sure. Still....just not sure....

I LOVE IT! Yummy colors in an image so very you! Love the pastel bubbles. Thank you for the song. I love Celtic music and have a good sized collection. Did you sharpen the one drop? It has a eversoslight crystallized appearance. I keep wanting to identify what I see in it, but I am not quite able. This reminds me so much of spring - and weirdly, Oz, because of bokeh bubbles, when Glenda, the good witch arrives in her irridescent rainbow bubble. Please post more. This is eye candy for me. Marie

Thanks, Marie! I didn't sharpen the dewy point. It was taken with the 60mm prime macro which is such a sharp lens. i tried it with higher dof but didn't get the same bokeh - which was the whole point. sigh. Reflected in the droplet is a weed with white flowers that I was trying ever so hard to get but don't know if I really like any of them - after all that. I do have some frosty grass pics, though! I'll get there.... Oooo, I'm glad that someone liked the song! I completely know what you mean about the good witch Glenda and the bubble. When I was in New York City, this past Spring, we saw the musical "Wicked" which is the story of the good and bad witches friendship - it was so much fun and so clever and contained one magic floating bubble.....

Clannad! Where did you dig them up from Katy? They were in the folky recess of the new romantics movement in the 80s over here. They were most famous for the Hooded Man Theme. I watched that series religiously every Saturday Evening. Marion always seemed to be running around in her nightie with 80s big hair and Robin all doe eyed and Anglosaxonly hard done too. It was great!
A far more modern take was the latest Robin Hood effort...again great stuff
Love the colours Katy and there is something mystical about your image...nice work

Thanks, Steve...I know you'd really tell me if you thought it was rubbish...right? right? I loved Clannad but never saw that Robin Hood. Isn't RH such a great idea/story/thingy, though? The idea always has a draw. Anyway, I knew Clannad, first, from this album but, then, there was 'Harry's Game', from that movie that I can't think of...had Sean Bean - about the IRA.... then, of course, they did the song in "The Last of the Mohicans". Meanwhile, Enya was huge over here with the Orinoco Flow. Ah....memories. We really loved The Chieftains, too. As a matter of fact, their Christmas CD is one of my all time favorites - have to go rustle that up.
