Just a little silly observation about the potpourri section. I love it - just a place to share the casual image - something in our brains and hearts and lives... Thing is, we all keep forgetting where we are and start giving comments.... It's a silly trouble, I'm tellin' ya! (wheezey LOL!)

Katy Personally i am not to bothered about this. I think we all expect to get comments when we post images on a forum like this. True that Potpourri is not necessarily a place to post you best work but I really want to get people giving good C&C. If nothing else I want this forum to be a place where you can get honest feedback on your images. That was the original thinking behind the Flickr group and whilst it is inevitable that we will have a bedding in period I really do want to see far more images posted and far more C&C provided otherwise there is not difference (photographically speaking) between this forum and Flickr. The trick is to use C&C on a give and take basis and remember that C&C is provided to help the poster. It comes in all guises some hard, some pragmatic and some inconsequential. That may seem obvious but i see very few forums out there where good impartial C&C is the main ingredient. It does not stop us having fun whilst doing it - in fact that is to be encouraged. So at present I am not fussed about where people provide their C&C - we can take it or leave it after all

I agree with Steve on this one. I would just add, that if anyone does not wish to have C&C on a particular image - just say so Personally, I will always respect this request. eg. "No C&C please."
