What provisions are there in pro-board for promoting our forum, especially on Google? I only ask because we clearly want people to find us and join. Can we put keywords into our setup such as 'photography' 'forum' etc?
My ranking on Google is very high on my name ('rob marshall') due largely to me having a Google-based blog which bumped up my rating considerably after I started it. I'm currently third on eight million hits, and if I could get rid of Rob Marshall the movie director (Pirates) I would be top.
Could we have an f-stop blog on Google? Perhaps our best shot of the week picked by several of us? I'm sure it would increase our ratings.
Any other suggestions for promotion?

Rob...funny you should mention this. I have been communicating with Jiro on this after a question raised by Katy. The blog idea is an excellent one particularly if the images are chosen by the members. I was going to allow the forum to build at little before making any concerted effort to tout for new members (if that is what people want). I know thats a circular argument and I am still pondering the best way to approach this.
