Putting that pressie to good use, already! I enjoyed the beautiful December Rose. Alright, the thing is, I don't know what to say. I think, firstly, you're working out the details of the technicalities of using perspex, right? The only thing I can think to say is to remember that we want to say something with our images and this is a super chance to percolate ideas. (even if it's just saying something about beauty or color or shape, etc.) Then again, any kind of exercise like this always helps us grow. Contrariwise....(just kidding! Don't mind me - I stayed up too late...blogging, of all things. )

Oi! I am the black-perspex-Meister (with bells on) You are on my turf, Baby, but don't let that worry you too much. I get a slight whiff of Easter from this. Am I right? Or is it a chocolate Xmas donkey swaddled in gold foil? You know darned well that I'm no good at these seasonal festival things.
Think you need to get lower down to get more of a reflection. But nice try.

I am thinking as well, the reflection should have the same dof as the object. Also, move the donkey to the left a smidge.

Very good effect, I must dig my piece of perspex out at some point. Composition wise I think I would had turned the donkey so that he was looking into the image rather than out.

But nice try. You are indeed the master of all things black and perspexy. It's a chocolate reindeer, much the same a the bunnies you see at easter. I suppose now christmas is over the adverts for cream eggs will be on I couldn't get any lower on this on as the perspex wasn't big enough I dopn't think your title is under any threat yet Rob, but it's good fun playing when there is not much inspiration around.

I did think about some other shots of this with its head bitten off and then just the wrapper and the collar?? Too gruesome for Christmas?

Yep gold foil wrapped reindeers made their way down under as well...... The kids got them from my sister.. They made a valiant attempt to acclimatize to the weather conditions, but failed meltingly
