still working lots of layer comps into my images...trying to dig out the richest blacks, purest whites and best range through the middle I can get...hmmm, don't we all... ;D 5:00 Traffic Leave No Wake What I did in both of these was produce a B&W according to David's workflow he presented. Next, I edited the original color images to their fullest potential. I copied and pasted the B&W images to the color images, then did a luminosity blend (sort of a Jiro Effect on steroids). I lowered the opacity to 80% and viola'.

I like these Chris, the colors and tones in the reflection of #2 are nice. In #1 the boats look great but there is something nagging me about the sky. It looks to be a great sky but is lack luster almost washed out looking even though it is not blown out it looks to be lacking detail and color from what looks like should be there?

There was a fairly stiff onshore wind blowing in and with it came a lot of salt spray. I did just about everything I know to give it some more snap...but alas...

After a few views here Chris, I am unsure that I like the pure black as it is just a big block with no room for detail. I do like the richness of the colors but it does not look natural. I reserve the right to change my mind again. lol ;D

Seems we were hitting the keys at the same time. I am sure, I thought it might have got lost in PP, guess not. Did you try a GND filter?

I used a .9 set in the horizontal position, with the darkest end toward the sun. I didn't feel like I needed to go way deep, so kept the fuzzy end at about the 1/3 frame mark.
As much as I like the Lee filter system, I realize with these filters and the setup, I need a smaller travel case that will take two lenses, the filters and holder so I can move more freely. I am open to anyone's suggestions.

One of the best things I have seen, is a small semi hard case that fits on ones belt. In which are slots for several filters. Need a filter reach down flip open the cover and choose the one you like.
