I would like you all to know that I was wrong when I said that Dave should cut the mountains from the right. Steve was right about this and I was wrong. It is incredible how you Dave have so well cloned the boat. The B&W presented is ... superb as usual. So, you are B&W man aren't you Dave ? I do not mean anything particular. I mean only in photography terms of course. ;D I think Steve was referring to a political view or, am I wrong again ? ... I've been going through all my old photos, its amazing what gems you can come up with that where passed over 2-3 years ago! You can't believe how I do agree with you Dave ! It does happen to me also. In fact this is connected to our knowledge and how much we grow in knowledge or, in other words, what we have leaned from life with time.

Fantastic conversion Dave. The light rays and detail which you can see through them are very powerful.

I am a bw togger at heart, i see in bw lol Looks like you might be stuck with it by popular demand ;D Whilst your last colour image is far better in terms of balance/composition it is just blown out of the water by your rendition in b/w. I have prattled on about this point before, but....British landscapes are made for monochrome! and you have a way of bringing out the best. Don't give up on the colour though. I have seem images where something close to your style of processing has been successfully applied to colour images producing dramatic effect.
