Revist to my favorite sinking shrimp boat...more foreground, less distrating background. C&C always welcomed.

Chris, I think that is absolutely spot on. As we've had the benefit of the wider view, I think we can appreciate that getting the crop right is critical here. I love the way you've arranged the boat hull and it's reflection to meet - towards the upper right. I find that bit is powerful enough to complete with all the detail and bring my eye back into the picture. Smashing job.

Now we know the surroundings of this vessel, I think you have made the best out of what you have here, I like the reflections but felt that if you were able to be here on a really still day, then you would get a perfect smooth reflection.

Chris, I do like your PP here but I am afraid...for me, it is still just too busy. Just for S&Gs I flipped it and cropped out all but the reflection. Knowing that makes for a smallish pic, Have you thought of maybe shooting just the reflection and then rotating it?

Hi, Chris! Oddly enough, I can totally see why you feel this is a fetching subject. and, that it's called the 'Slipper' is pretty darn poetic. It's too bad that it isn't just out in blue water alone. But I think that that's already been lamented. The white and blue is quite striking but the branches still seem to be muddling things a bit, though. Also, the right third of the image is so busy. What I do like is the yellow light and I really love the bow - the chain, the lettering, the rust and the light on all of that. I have a thought....just a thought....what about taking it somehow from a different angle so that you only catch the sky and the boat in the reflection. Would you have to be able to fly to do that, though? So, those are just my thoughts...

I think I have to side with Paul, here. The superstructure is too jumbled and distracting for me. Maybe closer in, with just the bow and the Gulf Clipper II name?
