Hello Joe, Sorry I missed this post. #1 I find this has a potentially nice feel to it – low light, long shadows. I feel it is a little bright which kinda fights with the light quality a bit. The foreground road / path looks a bit “hot”. Composition might be a a little better if the road / path was kept inside the frame on the left side.
#2 I like the part of the log with the turtles on it. I like the reflection on the right side. The sawn end of the log on the left side I find distracting.
#3 I like the soft colours and reflections. I wonder If you could adjust the crop so that the leaves in the top left are less prominent? Maybe you might like to lighten the shadows to bring out a little more detail?

Thanks Nick! Unfortunately photo #1 as posted was shot that way.I thought I had the path within the frame. As for the path being hot. I agree. That sun sure was out that early evening. I will have a go with it again and see if I can get rid of some of that brightness. I am posting an edit I did of the 3rd one, the lake scene.I wasnt sure about how much or where exactly to crop as you mentioned so I cloned out the leaves and branches on the upper left side as well as some on the right. I cloned in the sky more to get rid of the bright area. Upon further inspection I notice a patchiness to the colors of the sky. My PP skills are rather limited for now.Still learning. I then tried to brighten the overall scene a bit. When I did I noticed that there was someone standing on the left bank under the trees taking pictures. I kinda like the turtle one. Although I wish the sawn off end you mentioned had more time to callus over before it ended up in the lake like that.Would have looked more natural. Thanks for your input. I have lots to learn and I am glad that everyone here is so helpful. IMGP9346AB by ebamismoi, on Flickr

Well done on the edit Joe. That looks like it's more of what your trying to show us? Do you see that now the reflections of the trees - either side of the lodge / building - are kinda inviting you into the building? Neat.

Thanks Nick! I had a lot of fun with this. The sky took the longest, but I can definitely see that the reflections do indeed invite you in. Thanks for your help. I am trying to finish an edit of the image with the bench. Almost done. I will post when I am done.

Here is the bench shot edited. I clone out some of the path on the upper left to bring it more into the frame. I didnt saturate as much as I did the other and was able to lighten it without getting too bright, especially the walkway. Hopefully this one works. IMGP9367B by ebamismoi, on Flickr

The edited Bench shot is a great improvement on the first. It is a much warmer edit with a good range of green and brown shades. Good work on the path - much better!
ps. Love your architectural work on Flickr! I am a great admirer.

Thanks Rob!I had fun doin it. Just have to really pay attention to what I am doing before I take a shot. Thanks for your comment on my architectural work. For some reason I am very attracted to doing those. I like the idea of making art within art,or finding the art in the subject. LOL,did that make sense?
