This was taken some time ago. When I set up for an evening shoot - tripod, cable release, whatever - I always take my other camera (lucky chap that I am) fitted with a long(ish) lens. Basically I get board waiting for the light to change, so I wind up the ISO on the other camera and take pop shots. Silly stuff - birds in flight at 1/80th and so on. This is one of the pop shots - which I only recently rediscovered. I may try and re shoot this "properly" . What do you think? Thanks for looking. #1 5D 215mm f8 @1/60sec ISO 800 #2

Me wonders if a more rectangular crop which cuts out more of the sky might help. B&W is 10 times the image the color is.

Fully agree with Chris's crop, makes for a much stronger image.

Chris, Barry, You guys are a riot – somehow we always end up with a rectangular crop across the short dimension of what started as a portrait format image. Message is that I need to do a re-shoot – will do. Thanks for the input.
